It was especially helpful for us during a recent power outage, where we luckily had a fully charged iPad and my son was able to experiment with the colors while remaining distracted from the storm outside. I also liked the ability to shut off the app using a timer after a specified period of time. This app is perfect for setting a spooky mood, calming your children, especially special needs children who may use light therapy to calm themselves. I also used it to light a few photographs recently when I could not get the perfect lighting. You can also use the app to practice naming of colors and explore color matching using the sliders to see what colors you can create.

This could be a soothing night time routine coupled with music for them. My son was more interested in playing with the iPad rather than relaxing in his bed, though I used the Guided Access portion so he could not exit out of the app.
