For The Developers

Developers

About The iMums – Amanda, Alison, Mary and Grace – are four mothers from different parts of the world dedicated to educating parents about the best digital stories, educational apps, fun games and technology products available for their children. We also offer the latest news in apps for kids, interesting articles, developer interviews, free apps and regular giveaways!

Founded in August 2011, the four iMums have 11 kids among them ranging in age from 1 to 17 and bring a global perspective to their app reviews with the original iMum Amanda being from Australia, Alison is in America, Grace is from Singapore and Mary is from the UK but is currently living in America.

At four years old, the Australian-based blog already boasts hundreds of reviews on family friendly iOS and MacOS apps and products as well as a rapidly growing network of thousands following on Facebook and Twitter. To learn more, please watch the video below (and share it with your friends!).

We offer several tools for app developers to help promote their apps and place them in front of our highly targeted audience of parents. Before we consider mentioning an app on our website, we are required to screen them first to ensure they are suitable for our audience. We prefer not to recommend apps tailored to children that have third-party advertisementsinclude social media buttons linking direct to Facebook, Twitter, etc; contain external links from the app for additional purchases (e.g. to iTunes). However if these must be included, we recommend they be hidden in a ‘Parents Only’ environment and child-proofed somehow.

NOTE: At this point we do not update app reviews, unless a fee is paid for the update even if we did a free review originally. With hundreds of reviews, we are unable to keep up with all of the updates to apps. Thank you for understanding.

We offer the following services which can be found in our Media Kit which is updated monthly to include current statistics.

Hi, I’ve really enjoyed reading your reviews for my kids in the past, (three girls, 5, 8 and 10) and now I’ve built a game myself! It would be great if you could take a look at it – I’ve already got about 30 youtube reviews by kids and they all love it:

It’s called Panda Babies Playhome and is on the app store https://itunes.apple.com/app/id906393869

if you’re interested I can send you a free download code. I’ve also got some really cool Panda babies t-shirts, which I’d love to offer as a competition prize, (if you do that sort of thing).

I have a new app on the app store, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gift-exchange-mobile/id885064025?ls=1&mt=8 This app helps people do name drawings for gift exchanges. Participants may be selected from contacts or entered manually. Participants may be grouped so that they will not draw a name of someone in the same group. Participant type may be selected “give and receive”, “give and receive, plus give to receive only”, “Give to receive only”, and “receive only (for example, child)”.

The app also maintains exchange history and will prevent participants from drawing the same name as the previous drawing. The person running the app does not see the names drawn. After the drawing is completed participants may be notified of their names by email or text. The text option even works with wifi only devices because it uses the various carriers email to SMS gateways for sending. The app is $7.99. The app is also compatible with files created with the PC version of Gift Exchange, available on download.com.

There is also a free app “Gift Exchange Lite” https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gift-exchange-lite/id917656225?ls=1&mt=8 that is limited to seven participants and email only.

Thank you,
Don Wilson

Hello,

We proudly announce “I Heart Alien” for iPhone is now available and it’s FREE!

Download it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-heart-alien/id890649785
Gameplay Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoJCSuoQIlY
Press Release: http://lungfishgames.com/?p=167
Home Page: http://lungfishgames.com/?p=208

The main concept behind this simple game was inspired by our human ability (or inability!) to multitask. The player has to control three aliens simultaneously and attempt to match liked-color aliens and avoid other-color aliens. Of course the game gets more frantic the longer you survive. The overarching goal is to survive as long as possible but over multiple plays you will notice your score improving which means your multitasking ability is also improving! We jokingly call this a “three-brain game” as opposed to a “brain-game” and after a couple of plays you should be able to see why.

Please give it a try and thank you for your time.

Hi, just like to mention my latest app, Save the Jollies, which can be downloaded FREE from here https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/save-the-
jollies/id886847066?mt=8

The gameplay in Save the Jollies is derived from a classic game called Escape or Escapa, the game is used by jet fighter pilots during training, and the game is used to increase human reaction times. As you progress through Save the Jollies, the length of time you need to avoid the enraged Jollies increases, and the number of Jollies and internal crates also increases, its fast paced and fun, leaving you wanting to keep completing each level, and move on to the next!

With 100 crates to complete, Save the Jollies will keep you playing and improve your hand-eye coordination for quite some time!
