four mini games that teach you about seasons with a variety of toddler and preschool friendly activities
What we’d love to see…
more realistic fruit choices depending on the season as well as a clothing activity to show why you need warmer clothes in the winter.
Overall, this is a fun app especially for Peppa Pig lovers to teach them about fall and winter. The activities are fun and interactive and the stickers encourage kids to finish an activity to completion.
Peppa Pig: Seasons – Autumn and Winter features Peppa Pig as she learns about the Autumn and Winter seasons in an app designed for preschoolers and toddlers who will spend hours exploring it. The app opens where you choose your kite who acts as your avatar throughout the app. You then learn about how the temperature bar controls how warm or cold the scene is which ranges from green grass to snow on the ground. From there you choose one our four games to play which includes fruit, snowman, sledding and environment.
Four different interactive mini games include:
For the environment game, you can choose which season you want either autumn or winter, from there you can see a variety of changing colors of leaves, finding animals which may have hibernated (like a tortise) as well as exploring mud puddles.
For the fruit game you can pick fruit either in the autumn or winter. Picking apples was fun from the trees and bushes especially for my toddler, and my older son enjoyed the vegetable patch. Each of the three different areas has different types of fruit like apples versus strawberries so it’s a good opportunity to talk about fruits. The app uses a touch and drag to put the fruit into the baskets which is easy enough for a toddler or preschooler once they are shown.
My kids loved the tobogganing race, where you first choose the character and then the toboggan that you want to use. After picking the toboggan you slide down the hill and tap on snowflakes for a jump at the end of the run.
The snowman game lets you choose one of three Peppa Pig characters and then roll snowmen to make them into a design,. Afterward you choose their hat, scarf and face – you can make them as realistic to the character as you want or not. Afterward, the character looks at it and declares “she loves it!”
My kids loved the toboggan part of the app the most, I suppose this is because we live in New England and haven’t seen snow since last winter, but it was fun even for me! They also loved building the snowman and customizing him with a hat and scarf – it was fun and interactive for both of them. After each adventure you earn a sticker for your scrapbook which you can view on the main screen.
In terms of enhancements, I can’t see strawberries growing in the winter – at least here in New England although they do grow in other areas of the country during this time. It just didn’t seem realistic enough given that the leaves were dark instead of the traditional summer green. I would also like to see a little explanation of what the seasons mean (i.e. getting colder, animals hibernating) rather than just the landscape changing from green grass to a winter scene. I would love to see an app that encompasses all four seasons in one, that would truly help children understand the differences and why it is warm versus cold. It would also be fun to have a clothing activity so kids could pretend to dress up using hats, mittens, boots, etc similar to the snowman but showing the weather changing in the background.
Overall, this is a fun app especially for Peppa Pig lovers to teach them about fall and winter. My kids enjoyed playing with the snow portions of the app, especially because the winter is a bit later to arrive here in New England. The activities are fun and interactive and the stickers encourage kids to finish an activity to completion. There are no external links or in-app purchases.

Use of modern hairstyling tools and fun little games.
What we’d love to see…
An in-app hairstyle magazine featuring all the creative work produced.
A fashionable hairstyling and styling app for the child designers with silly animations, sounds and games to multiply the fun.
Silly Billy Hair Salon by wonderkind is definitely the virtual Hair Salon for the modern kids. It is fully equipped with a range of contemporary hairstyling tools, fun hair colors and trendy tattoo stickers, and has clients chewing gum and dancing to funky music!
Kids first choose the animal that they want to style (Billy the Sheep, Leo the Lion, Peter the Panda or Hanna the Horse) and then pull a lever to find out what hairstyle the animal wants before stepping into their imaginary hair salon. My youngest enjoys this game of chance to see what hairstyle idea comes up on the screen, preferring these over the freestyle option. This is because he gets rewards for successfully reproducing the hairstyle that was chosen.
Just like a real hair salon, there are tools to trim, cut, shave, curl, straighten, wash (hot or cold water), dry, color and style the animals’ hair in the Silly Billy Hair Salon. The beauty of a virtual hair salon is that all actions can be reverse and mistakes rectified easily, allowing kids to experiment freely. To complete the new look, kids can continue to style the animals with different fun tattoo stickers, hair accessories, hats, eyewear and footwear.
At the end of the styling session, kids can capture the makeover in the photo studio against different color backgrounds for the client’s portfolio or even share it with others. In keeping with the makeover theme, why not have all the photos “published” in an animated Hairstyling Magazine? It would be so much fun!!
If you think that is all to it in the Silly Billy Hair Salon, you will be happy to know that kids can continue to play with the animals after the stying is over. They can feed the hungry animals and watch them practice some cool dance moves before sending the animals off to party. My youngest loves to see his animals chew bubble gum and burst the bubble after that! Fans of wonderkind’s Tiny Builders will also be thrilled with the guest appearance of some of their favorite characters from that app.
Sounds like a cool app to check out? Whether the finished look on the animals has been inspired by the ideas from the app or it is a drastic transformation, your kids will have fun playing with various hairstyling tools/techiniques and accessories, experimenting with different looks and enjoying their creations in their imaginary hair salon. Download the app for free to style the sheep now and if your children can’t get enough of the fun, get them the 3 other animals (and 15 new hairstyles) as well. Each animal is unique with its own funny animation and sound that will sure to entertain your children. Silly Billy – Hair Salon: Style Your Animals is definitely worth a download!

Lots of activities, colorful, engaging characters, introduces Latino culture and traditional values
What we’d love to see…
Naming the balls in Muki’s toys, addition of written vocabulary words
Mundo Lanugo is a bright, colorful entertaining preschool app, for introducing Latino culture, and Spanish vocabulary, to children.
Mundo Lanugo – Juega y Aprende is an app designed for young children to explore Latino culture and the Spanish Language. All the spoken language in the app is Spanish, but the parents section is in both Spanish and English.
The app is designed for 2-5 year old children from Latino families to introduce them to their culture and language in a fun way.
Mundo Lanugo gives the child a bright, colorful world to explore, populated by whimsical cartoon characters. They can scroll to look around and play with the many interactive elements such as counting as they climb the numbered steps to the treehouse, playing musical instruments, flying a paper airplane or ringing the bells on a mission-style church. There are also 10 short videos for the child to watch and and 10 activity areas, each accessed by tapping on a white icon.
The videos are short animations featuring the Mundo Lanugo cartoon characters, each one illustrates a Latino saying such as “Con el tiemo y la paciencia se aquiere la ciencia” and “En boca cerrade no entran moscas.” These videos encourage traditional values such as hard work and good manners but in a fun and entertaining way.
There are 10 different activity areas, which introduce different aspects of Hispanic culture, but also work on classic preschool skills such as learning the (Spanish) names of numbers, colors, toys & foods; matching, organizing by shape and color.
Shopping with Chuy
Chuy the pig is shopping at the mercado, the child needs to help him by collecting all the fruit and vegetables on his list and dragging them to his shopping basket. If they pick the correct item the name is spoken, incorrect items elicit an “uhh” and the child gets to try again.
Cooking with Chuy
In this game Chuy is in the kitchen preparing his favorite Latino foods -guacamole, arroz con leche and ceviche. The child has to drag all the ingredients to his bowl so Chuy can mix it and present the final dish. As they add each ingredient its name is spoken.
Mia’s Art Gallery
Mia the Monkey has a collection of art by Latino artists such as Frida Kahlo, Picasso and Dali. She needs help displaying them, so the child needs to match the shape of the artwork to the outline on the wall.
The child can decorate Mia’s favorite doll in a variety of colors using fill-in coloring tools, and they learn the color names as they play.
Help Muki Monkey create his one of a kind toys using simple objects such as toilet roll middles, soda bottles and milk cartons.
Muki’s room is a mess! As the child helps him tidy up they can learn the Spanish names of traditional toys including dominoes, yo-yos, marbles, jacks and paper boats. The only toys they put away that aren’t named are the balls – I’d like to see this added in a future update.
Dress Up with Gloria
Help Gloria Lamb to get dressed in costume for El Dia de Los Muertos, Carnaval or as a character from Don Quixote.
Gloria is working on her journal and to help her the child has to match 4 objects with the scene from the app they come from.
Each the the characters from the app plays a traditional Latino instrument. The child can drag each one onto the stage where they will play La Cucaracha. This lets them hear how each instrument sounds both individually and when combined with other instruments, whilst listening to this classic tune.
Music with Quique
Quique the parrot has a variety of traditional instruments including maracas, guitar, accordion and flute. The child gets to learn their Spanish names and hear how they sound.
This a a very bright, colorful children’s app with cute characters and lively music. I love how it brings together different aspects of Latino culture including music, food, traditional toys, sayings and values as a integral part of a fun app. The app is also good for introducing some basic Spanish vocabulary such as names of: fruits, vegetables, numbers, colors, musical instruments and toys. Currently these vocabulary words are only spoken, I would love to see the written words too, in these sections, as seeing a word written is a precursor to learning to read later.
It is a great app for helping to pass down Latino culture and values to Latino children, but also useful for non-Hispanic families who wish to teach their children about other cultures. My older son attended a Spanish Immersion Program where each class is 50% native Spanish- speakers and 50% English – speakers, and the children are taught in Spanish from kindergarten. In this school the children learn not only the Spanish language but they also learn about Latino culture, music, dance and history, so this would be a great app for children preparing to enter this or similar programs.
Overall, a bright, colorful entertaining preschool app for introducing Latino culture, and Spanish vocabulary, to children. Parents who want to expand the child’s experience beyond the app can also visit the Mundo Lanugo website for activities, crafts and recipes.

the cute characters and the different pretend play spots available
What we’d love to see…
nothing, we love it!
This cute app is another beautifully made Sago Mini app that little ones will love!
Sago Mini Babies by Sago Sago is an adorable new app little ones will love. Children aged 2 to 5 years old will love caring for their favourite Sago Mini characters, only this time the characters will be in their nappy/diaper. The app encourages children via pretend play to do real life activities which range from feeding, bathing to dress up and more! This is a great app for toddlers, preschoolers or a soon to be older brother or sister and will help them understand about their sibling to be.
We loved this cute app, it is very easy for little ones to use and so much fun! They get to choose from four baby characters and eight different pretend play activities. All they have to do is touch the little characters and slide them through the play areas and click on the little star near the activity to enter. Once inside the play area, they can interact with the characters and click on the arrow at the top of the activity to exit. They can feed, bathe, play, dress up and play music with their little character as well as put them down for a sleep or change their nappy/diaper.
My daughter loved the cute little pink bird Robin, she loved caring for her especially giving her a bottle, feeding her lots of baby food, bathing her and putting her down for her nap. She was quite happy going through each activity as they come and trying them out. This app is perfect practice for her as she will soon be a big sister!
There is nothing we would change about the app as both my daughter and I really enjoyed playing with it. We could not fault this app as it very easy to use and is so well designed, nothing extra is needed!
This app has no in-app purchases or third-party advertising. It does however have a locked parents section with information about the app and a ‘more apps’ section that is also locked with a swipe request.
Like all Sago Mini apps, Sago Mini Babies has beautiful illustrations, sounds and quirky interactions and surprises for little ones to explore. My daughter loved it especially Robin!
