What we’d love to see…

more protection for the iPad when rotated into portrait mode

Stylish, innovative rotating case allows you to view your iPad Mini in portrait or landscape mode without having to physically turn the iPad for use

Our Rating

360° Case for iPad Mini by Everything Tablet is a semi-protective case that allows you to rotate your iPad Mini in portrait and landscape while in the case.  To use the case you click your iPad into a plastic shell which has space for the camera, access to the sound ports as well as the ability to insert cables at the bottom.  It also has microfiber inside to protect the screen of your iPad and a cutout on the back to show the Apple logo.  It also features the sleep/wake so when the case is opened it will wake your iPad up.

I liked that the case worked well – using the flange to rotate it.  When the iPad is inside it  you simply rotate the plastic enclosure holding the iPad and it will switch from portrait to landscape mode.   I also liked the ability to change how I displayed the iPad using a variety of angles which make it nice for using in your lap or watching a video – whatever your activity of choice is.  It’s also slim which makes it easy to slide inside a backpack, purse, diaper bag or the like which means you can have your iPad on the go.

In terms of future enhancements, I would like to see the ability to have more protection for your iPad when the screen is rotated.  I dropped my iPad Mini while I had it in the portrait mode and was afraid that the screen would crack – luckily it did not.  Also there isn’t much protection at the top of the case as the entire top edge is exposed which means if it is accidentally dropped, there is a greater chance for damage to your iPad.   I have noticed during the several months that I have been using it that the circular piece that rotates it has gotten a bit looser but it still functions well.  I would like to see additional viewing angles in a future version if possible as it seems somewhat limited between portrait and landscape.  I would suggest that this not be a primary case for younger children as the protection along the top concerns me in case of an accidental drop.

Overall, this is a stylish case which provides some protection for your iPad Mini as well as a variety of viewing angles all while being in the case without having to re-position it while using it.  The case is also available for the traditional iPad 2/3/4 as well.  It is stylish enough for use at home or in the office and provides protection for the iPad while in use.  The case retails for $19.99 and has a guarantee.
